How we are Organized
The Friends of Hana Keiki Board of Directors is organized into several standing committees which help to fulfill the organization’s mission.
The organization’s income and expenses will be accounted for through designated funds for each committee. Fund raising efforts will be mainly coordinated by each committee after approval by the Board. Generally, the organization will raise funds by writing grants and soliciting donations from individuals and businesses. The chart below describes how the funds will be organized.
FHK as a Fiscal Agent
In addition to our regular programs, Friends of Hana Keiki serves as a fiscal agent for two other local programs that serve area children. The Talk Story Write Story program is run by award winning writer and journalist Tad Bartimus. She teaches high school seniors the skill of writing a compelling personal story giving them an outstanding personal essay for their college and scholarship applications, and developing writing skills that will be with them for the rest of their lives. We also serve as a fiscal agent for Hana Youth Sports. This organization operates the youth soccer and basketball programs in Hana.
